My dog makes me giggle,
her antics innocent and playful
urging me back in time;

yet more so my grandson
his twinkling smile an invitation
to crawl, fluff, shriek and laugh

sharing chirps and coos,
cuddled kisses, tidbits of bread
and a love vast beyond words.
